UK Estate Agents Winkworth expands into Oxford and Buckinghamshire

M Winkworth PLC has added two new offices to its network, making a total of 11 offices across the UK in the last 12 months. Barrington Property opened in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, and Paul Murray in Oxford.
Described as the gateway to the Chiltern Hills, Chalfont St Peter is one of the largest villages in the UK, with nearly 20,000 residents. Its popularity is due in part to the fact it is only 15 miles from central London and yet is the nearest truly green area outside the M25. In addition it has some of the best transport links in the country, including Heathrow Airport, the M25, M1, M40, M4, Gerrards Cross railway station and Chalfont & Latimer on the Metropolitan underground line. Due to the Chiltern Railways Evergreen project, trains from Gerrards Cross take less than thirty minutes to Marylebone.
There are a range of excellent grammar and private schools in Chalfont St Peter, which have received top OFSTED results. Schools include Chalfont St Peter Church of England Academy; Dr Challoner’s High School, Beaconsfield High School and Chalfont Community College.

Today Oxford has a population of approximately 165,000 who benefit from its excellent schools, such as The Dragon and St Edwards, and its proximity to London for commuters. The final stage of the Chiltern Railways Evergreen project will connect London Marylebone to Oxford via Gerrards Cross, taking a proposed 66 minutes. Additionally the Oxford Tube takes only ninety minutes from Oxford to central London.
