Paradise Bank Endorses Higher Education Philanthropy

As an affordable college education becomes increasingly out of reach for many students, Paradise Bank shareholders, customers and staff stepped forward to champion higher education and announced the formation of the Paradise Education Foundation on July 12, 2011.
Paradise Bank brought stakeholders and customers together with representatives from Broward College and the Broward Education Foundation and the Paradise Education Foundation came to life.
“Paradise Education Foundation is off to a great start,” said Phil McNally, Paradise Bank Area president and foundation board member. “We have partnered with Broward College to support their American Dream Scholarship Luncheon on November 3. Our belief in the benefits of higher education is so strong we have already committed to hosting a table at the luncheon.”
“We’ve also purchased three Florida Prepaid scholarships at Broward College at a cost of $ 11,250 and have committed to funding an additional $ 2,500 Sunshine Scholarship at Broward College for ALS students,” added Paradise Education Foundation Board Chair and community leader Wayne Berger. “An additional $ 10,500 commitment for the Sunshine Scholarship has been secured through ALS’s parent company Community Education Partners.
In addition to McNally and Berger, Paradise Education Foundation’s board of directors includes Laz Schneider, Partner-Berger Singerman, and Marvin Klasfeld, CPA.
The Paradise Education Foundation committed to providing financial assistance for those pursuing post-secondary education.
