University of Delaware Professor,Students to visit England for Uk Literacy Association Conferences and Hip-Hop Tour

The University of Sheffield and Sheffield College will host the Bassling tour of Sheffield England. This past summer, Bassline Entertainment was invited to perform for youth and adults in Sheffield England in conjunction with the annual conference for the United Kingdom Literacy Association. As Sheffield, like many cities throughout the world, has a large population of youth who are disengaged from school, representatives from the University of Sheffield invited Bassline Entertainment to perform in hopes of providing motivation and inspiration for disengaged youth.
The total length of the trip will be one week, March 20-27, featuring performances on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. The students will leave the US on March 20th at approximately 6PM and will be arriving in London at approximately 6AM in London on the 21st. They will perform from the 22nd-24th. The first two performances will be in professional performance venues in downtown Sheffield and the other performance will be in the Sadacca Afro-Caribbean Community Center where they will perform with youth from the Sheffield area. As part of their stay in Sheffield, they will meet with the Mayor of Sheffield, attend a special dinner in their honor, tour the University of Sheffield and Sheffield College and attend an historical excursion in London. They will be returning from England on the morning of the 27th of March
